Recommended Arm Position of B and W Patriot Fifth Wheel Hitch for Centering Hitch Over Axle

Question:
When the position of the the pivot arm is in the forward position , 2inch towards the tail gate which one puts the center over the rear truck axle. Could you tell me the forward ,2, 4inch which one of the positions the arm over the rear truck axle. I am trying to decide where to position the pivot arms. Thanks.

There are two horizontal positions that the B and W Patriot Slider part # BWRVK3270 can be in when installing in a set of fifth wheel rails. The forward-most position of the hitch head will get you the closest to the center between the rails. It will be 1/2 inch behind the centerline of between the fifth wheel rails. The other position will be 2-1/2 inches in front of the center line.
SInce typically fifth wheel rails are installed the the center between the two rails being also the axle center most likely you can use these two figures to accomplish the install location you want. Otherwise you'll have to take the relative position of the center between the rails and apply it to the numbers I mentioned.
