Trailer Hubs for Boat Trailer with Short Stubby Spindle

Question:
Do you have an hub that measures 3.5 in through the center of the hub it on an old boat trailer

Expert Reply:
The trailer idler hubs we carry are all around 4-1/2" deep. It sounds like you have the short stubby spindle used on old boat trailers and we do not offer trailer hubs for these spindles unfortunately. I understand if you would like to keep looking but if you like, we can offer you a replacement axle that will allow you to use pretty much any standard trailer hub assuming the bearings are correct. In order to do this I would need the hub face and spring center measurements of the axle you have now (see photo).
For example, the Dexter Idler Trailer Axle w/ Hubs part # 20545I-EZ-60-10 measures 60" from hub face to hub face and 48" from spring center to spring center. The spring center measurement can however be modified.
