Question:
You do not need to replace your axle. If you have brake flanges on your current axle, then you can simply add the brake assemblies, hub/drum assemblies, and wiring and be good to go. The 3,500 lb axles are all the same spindle measurements so I recommend the following parts: Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies # AKEBRK-35-SA Mounting Hardware for 10" Brake Assemblies # BRKH10B Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector - 12-10 Gauge - Nylon Insulation - Yellow - Qty 5 # DW05745-5 Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 3,500-lb Axles - 10" Diameter - 5 on 4-1/2 # AKHD-545-35-K etrailer 7-Way Molded Trailer Plug with Junction Box # e99011 # 10-1-1 wiring sold by the foot and ring terminal # 44-5310A If you want to replace your axles, then the best option we have is the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System w Electric Brake Hubs - Straight Spindle - 3,500 lbs # A35RS545E. These assemblies will replace your current axles, suspension, and will be a custom length. You will need to use a 2x2 inch square bar (not included) to fit in the integrated assembly holes. You will still need to wire the assemblies with the parts listed above.
