Customized Mounting for Trailer Fender

Question:

Can I mount this product Single Axle Trailer Fender w/ Backing - 16 Gauge Steel - 13inch , by drilling holes into the backing and mounting directly to the trailer frame? I am having trouble matching brackets, fenders and mounting holes on my trailer.

The Single Axle Trailer Fenders w Mounting Brackets - White Plastic - 13" to 15" Wheels # PF11X35W-2 comes with the mounting brackets to stabilize the fender. You do not need to drill into the backing for that installation. If you choose to install by drilling in the backing and mounting to the trailer frame in that location the fenders will work well but you will not be able to utilize the steps on the ends or top of the fender as the intended mounting brackets are what help support the weight in those locations.
