Hi there, I would like to install a lightweight trailer hitch on our 2005 Prius for my husbands portable power wheelchair which weighs around 75 lbs. Can you walk me through the steps? In other words, which parts would I need Thanks so much!

The best hitch for your 2005 Toyota Prius that would work well for your situation is the Draw Tite part # 24808 that you referenced. It is a confirmed fit and would have the capacity needed for a 75 lb chair. The hitch weighs 28 lbs.
Then for a carrier we have the Curt part # C18110 which would fit the hitch and have capacity needed for the chair.

I have a 2005 Toyota Prius and the Drawtite 24808 frame did not fit. It was about 1.5 in too short to fit the tow bar screw holes. Is there more than one frame size on the 2005-2009 Toyota Prius?
