Using Older Reese 15K 5th Wheel Hitch on Ram Truck with Factory Puck System

Question:

I have a 15k Reese hitch and wondering if the #30864 legs will bolt on to it and work with my factory puck system, or am i better off to buy the picture frame that mounts to the bed first.

To use your existing Reese 15K fifth-wheel hitch with your new Ram truck that features the factory puck system, you will want to use the Reese Rail Adapter # RP30154. This will mount to the factory pucks in the bed and provide industry-standard rails with which your Reese hitch is compatible.

Your older 15K hitch features a different style head than what is used on the Ram OEM hitch so you won't be able to replace the base with the OEM Legs # RP30864 that you referenced.
