Question:

What is the minimum rim width that would accept a ST215 75r 15 tire for my utility trailer? Thanks

Based on my research, it looks like a 215/75-15 tire will fit 15 inch wheels that feature a width of 5-1/2 to 7-1/2 inches. With that in mind, a 215/75-15 is not a common trailer tire size so I recommend verifying that your existing tires are designed to be used on your utility trailer. Trailer tires are built with thicker/stronger sidewalls so they can handle the heavy weights of a fully loaded trailer.

For a trailer tire in a similar size the Kenda Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10251 that you were looking at is a great choice. This radial ply tire has a maximum load of 2,150 pounds at 50 psi and will fit 15 inch wheels that have a 6 inch, 6-1/2 inch, or 7 inch width.

I have attached a short video demonstration that you can also check out.
