Torque Rating for 7/16" Bolts to Mount 10" Brake Assemblies
Published 08/09/2018 >
Question:
Does anyone happen to know the recommended torque for backplate to flange 7/16 bolts? Ive read 30 and 50 ft-lb on different sites, or should I just go by the bolt grade and size?

Expert Reply:
30 - 50 ft-lbs is about right for 7/16" bolts like what comes in the Kit # BRKH10AS for 10" brake assemblies. We typically recommend being closer to the 45-50 ft-lbs torque range though.
