Should Boat Trailer Guide Ons Touch Boat When Installed

Can I have my Bunk Boards when installed touching the Boat Thank You,

When you set up a set of guide ons like the part # CE27660 you wouldn't want them to contact both sides of the boat at the same time. You would want an inch or two of clearance between the boat and the uprights.
