7-Way and Brake Controller Recommendation for 2003 Lexus GX 470

Question:

Hello, I am looking to tow a trailer trailer with my 2003 GX470. It does not have the 7 way RV connection. Ive attached a photo of the wiring that I see under the rear bumper. Does the Hopkins wiring connects to the GX directly without cutting? I also need a brake control and need your recommendation. Would it be difficult to install or it is plug and play for the brake control? Thanks

For your 2003 Lexus GX470 the Hopkins 7-way part # HM43374 is the correct fit and would plug right into the two connectors you sent in a picture of. No cutting or splicing required. Then to install a brake controller all you need is a quick install harness like the part # 3040-P with a Tekonsha controller like our best selling P3 part # 90195 and you'd be set.
