Hi - Towing 2014 JKU with Tiffin Allergo Bus - JKU has AEV front bumper. My plan is to use RM035 D Rings, air force one braking, safety cables, etc My question is is there a real difference in using RM520 Tow bar vs. RM 522 non binding when using d-rings? thanks

Yes, there will be a difference when using a non-binding tow bar like the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain part # RM-522 and a tow bar without the non-binding feature like the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520 even when using d-ring adapters. The reason for this is that though the connection point is in a different location, the issue with releasing the arms has to do with the vehicle's position in relation to the motorhome. It is uncommon to have a completely level surface on a camp ground so you will spend some time fighting the tow bar to break it loose from the vehicle. The version without the non-binding feature is also going to require a special tool part # RM-066.
With the above in mind I strongly recommend the non-binding tow bar (RM-522). I have attached review videos of each for you.
