Is there a problem with DMV with this unit covering license plate?

To be on the safe side we recommend using the license plate bracket of the Thule Transporter Combi Hitch Mounted Enclosed Cargo Carrier # TH665C so that the plate is always displayed well. Most likely it would take a pretty bored police officer to pull you over for this carrier blocking the plate's view, but checking with your local DMV/DOT would be best call on that.
