Question:
Hi, Is there a way to replace a Fulton 44150C with a hitch that has a bit more extension? Trying to figure out how to fit a 96inch camper on a full size truck bed and tow a horse trailer without changing out the truck side to an extension hitch. I have a kind of different Convert A Ballfoot bumper circa 2000 that I want to avoid replacing if possible. I wondered if the hitch on my horse trailer could be extended a few inches.

I have a few suggestions for you, but we do not carry a trailer coupler that is longer than the Fulton 44150C that you already have.
The simplest solution would be to replace the Convert-A-Ball cushioned ball mount that you currently have with an extended ball mount like the Curt Multi-Ball Adjustable Ball Mount, # D900. This ball mount is about 6 inches longer than most Convert-A-Ball ball mounts. Since I'm not sure what amount of rise or drop you need, I've attached a link to all of our long and extra long ball mounts for you to check out. Most of these options, don't come with hitch pins, so you will want to add on one of those as well with part # PC3.
Another option that you may want to consider, especially if you've never towed with your truck bed camper before is using a weight distribution system. Because of the weight of the camper and horse trailer on your rear axle, the safest option to provide more clearance, distribute the weight properly and prevent trailer sway is using a weight distribution system. This solution will take some of the tongue weight and actually distribute it back up to the other axles of the truck and trailer. It will also help with potential sagging rear suspension and improve handling/braking.
When choosing a weight distribution system, the most important thing to consider is the Total Tongue Weight of your towing setup. The Total Tongue Weight includes the loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your trailer plus the weight of any gear loaded in the tow vehicle behind the rear axle.
For example, if you find that your Total Tongue Weight will not exceed 1,000 lbs, then I recommend the Equal-I-zer system # EQ37100ET. Keep in mind that the trailer tongue weight will typically be 10-15 percent of the gross trailer weight. If your Total Tongue Weight exceeds 1,000 lbs, then you will want to step up to the next size, # EQ37120ET, which is rated for 1,200 lbs tongue weight or # EQ37140ET which is rated up 1,400 lbs TW.
I've attached a few review videos and links to these systems for you to check out. You may also want to pick up their thin walled socket, # EQ70-00-4800, which will make the setup process much easier.
I linked all of our long ball mounts and weight distribution systems to this help page.
