Will B & W Heat-Treated Hitch Ball Work in Gooseneck Hitch?

Question:

I have a CM flatbed with a 1-1/4 hole for the gooseneck. need a ball. Can i use this ball for gooseneck?

When I reached out to B & W regarding your question, they advised me that the product # BWHB94004 is not rated for use with a gooseneck. That product is made more for a hitch ball opening on a bumper and it is a threaded application. I have linked all the Gooseneck hitch balls we have available.
