Question:
I currently have a 2009 GMC Yukon Denali that I will be towing a 7x16 dual axle enclosed trailer. It is a v nose and the tongue appears shorter. Is there any standard measurements to check or does someone make one to fit V nose trailers? Total weight loaded will be around 4500 to 5000 lbs putting tongue weight a around 500.

For V-nose trailers like what you have that feature limited A-frame space, we typically recommend using chain hangers like the Curt # C17005 for a bolt-on installation or # C17003 for a clamp-on application. These will mount to the side of the trailer frame (instead of the top) to provide an alternate attachment point for the spring bars on a weight distribution system.
Each weight distribution system will list a recommended distance from the hitch ball to where the lift brackets should be mounted on the trailer. You will just want to make sure you will be able to reach this length with the A-frame on your trailer.
When picking out a weight distribution system, you will want to determine the total tongue weight of your setup. This number includes both the loaded tongue weight of your trailer, along with any additional cargo weight coming from behind the rear axle of your Denali. Ideally, this number will fall somewhere near the middle of the operating range for the system you choose.
You mentioned that the loaded weight of your trailer can reach up to around 5,000 pounds, which would put the estimated loaded tongue weight at around 500 to 750 pounds (10 to 15 percent of total weight). The Reese Weight Distribution System # RP66541 should work nicely for your tongue weight range, as it features a tongue weight capacity of 500 to 800 pounds. The lift brackets should be positioned around 30 inches back from the hitch ball.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this system that you can check out, along with the written installation instructions for the products mentioned.
