Question:

How far back from the hitch ball does the bracket mount on the frame? Have a short distance on the Nucamp Tab 400 frame

Thanks for the picture Chris! The lift-brackets mount about 29" back from the center of the coupler on the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control item # BXW0553.

It looks like your trailer's tongue isn't going to have anywhere near that much space before it gets to the storage box. Instead of the clamp on hangers you could either use the Chain Hangers for Reese Weight Distribution Systems item # RP58305 or the Blue Ox Signature Series Lift Brackets item # BXW4021.

I have linked a picture below that will show you the dimensions of the Blue Ox item # BXW4021. If your tongue's frame is big enough to support these brackets this is the solution I would recommend. They can be bolted or welded onto the outside of the frame.

How far back is the closest part of the tool box from the center of the coupler/hitch ball?

Thanks for helping figure out if there is a possible solution. The distance from the center of the hitch ball to the front edge of the box is 24" so it does not look to me that the suggested brackets would work. ANy other ideas?

@ChrisN You're welcome! If you're willing to drill into the side of your trailer's tongue you can use the Chain Hangers for Reese Weight Distribution Systems item # RP58305 with the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control item # BXW0553. They measure 5" wide x 3-5/16" tall so they should still fit unless the bottom of that tool box sits lower on your tongue.
