Used on my 1999 Dodge Intrepid's CURT 12006 Class II 1.25 in. Receiver Hitch: 350lbsTW/3500 lbs GTW. I use this Curt Class II Drawbar - 3-7/8" Rise - 11-1/4" Long - 3,500 lbs to tow a 3,500+ GTW dual axle trailer. I have used it with the trailer FULLY loaded and it performs EXCELLENT. You have to make sure the trailer is loaded correctly so as not to put too much down force on the tongue/drawbar. I was skeptical that the SOLID 1.25" bar would not take the load, but it is super strong. I chuck it in the trunk when not in use to protect passerby's shins, but it sticks out far enough clear the Intrepid's bumper, and is solid with a 2" ball (required a bushing). etrailer got it out fast at a good price! I would totally purchase this again from them.
It's good that Curt makes this extra long ball mount, because I don't want to use an extension, and my receiver hitch is totally ahead of the rear bumper.
I thought it came with a hitch pin, I will find one locally. Slow shipping seems to have gotten lost over week to make it 400 miles to Indianapolis. Not E Trailers fault. All is good now that the drawbar is here.
Here's a couple photos of my recent project. I'm making some improvements on my off-road trailer. The Curt #C45270 is a perfect match for the Bronco. The longer length enables me to open the tailgate without making contact with the propane tank that I installed on Saturday. I can't wait to take it out to a gravel bar and set up a stove or a fire pit. Yesterday, I spent the whole day at Hidden Valley. I'm planning on heading to the river with my dog on Friday. No problems so far. Fits the oddly shallow trailer (also purchased here) for my toyota corolla 2001. It interferes with the license plate to where I have to bend it to get things to fit, but it should still be workable.
Solidly built. For my application, 2014 Cruze, I should have gotten a longer one. This works but it puts my trailer tongue really close to the bumper.

This is a hollow steel shaft with solid steel tongue for the ball. The steel is heavy gauge. Mine fit perfectly into my motorcycle trailer hitch receiver. I have bought trailer hitches from eTrailer in the past. As usual, this is another quality product at a fair price DELIVERED TO MY DOOR!
I ordered a Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch for my 2005 Toyota Avalon, a hitch ball, a drawbar with a 3 1/2" rise and the wiring kit necessary to connect my car to a 4 prong trailer connection. The tutorials were great and along with the instructions included made the installation fairly easy to install everything myself. The prices were the best I could find on all the items and everything shipped fairly quickly and arrived in good time. I use all of these products together weekly to pull my boat and enjoy various lakes that are available in my area. I would highly recommend this website and it's products and have ordered other items since my original purchase with satisfaction.
The drawbar being hollow in the male end seemed to be too large in diameter to fit the female receiver on my car's fairly new hitch. I had to hammer the drawbar into the hitch. I doubt i will ever be able to remove this drawbar without destroying what it was hammered into. While drawbars with solid male ends easily slid in and out of my car's hitch. I'm not pleased.

Hmmm, it sounds like the powder coat on the ball mount may be too thick. We generally suggest to sand down the powder coating on the ball mount slightly. You will definitely need to recoat the powder coating paint with a rust-oleum type of paint to prevent future corrosion. I have a link below for your reference.
