Question:

Hi Jason thanks for the reply. I have the 4 bike rack. Unfortunately the plates you mentioned will not work with this. I need a plate for only two (the one for four you posted won’t work for several reasons. One being the screw holes are directly in between the bike mounts and on the replacement part you posted they are off centered. So I couldn’t even get it on if I wanted to. Another being. This one piece plate would not allow me to tighten the bikes down well since they all have different size tubing. ) also they are 6.5 inches from center to center.

Swagman once manufactured bike racks for Reese and Hidden Hitch. The Outfitter model was one of those bike racks. If you have the 3 bike version, then you will use the Replacement Top Plate for Hidden Hitch Bike Rack # SP-102 if you have 5 inch measurements on center for the padding. For just the knob if you want to keep a spare on hand, you will need part # P1004.

If you have the 4 bike, you will use the Replacement Top Plate for Swagman Original Series 4 Bike Carriers # P113. This model has 6 inches from center of padding to center of padding for each bike.

Thanks for the additional information. Unfortunately the top plate measurements you gave are not a fit for any products that Swagman or Reese currently have on the market. You may want to consider using a different style cradle like # 64860. For a replacement rack, you may want to consider the Swagman XP - 4 Bike Rack for 2" Trailer Hitches # S64940, the tilting # S64960, or most similar # S64400.
