Question:
I have 102”x24’ enclosed trailer. It currently has ST205R15 tires on it. I want to upgrade to heavier tires with a high speed rating on them. I am looking to go with maybe. 225R15 tire. What would you reccommend? Thank you.

As long as you have the necessary wheel well and trailer frame clearance for larger tires, you can certainly upgrade to ST225/75R15 tires on your trailer. The new tire size will have an overall diameter of 28.3 inches and a width of 8.9 inches. This is compared to the 27.1 inch diameter and 8.1 width on your existing ST205/75R15 tires.
For the tire, I recommend a ST225/75R15 that will work well. This is an excellent radial ply tire that features a maximum load of 2,540 pounds at 65 psi and a great speed rating of 81 mph. It comes with a 2-year limited warranty as well. This size tire will fit on 15 inch wheels that have a 6 inch, 6-1/2 inch, or 7 inch width. If your current wheels happen to have a smaller width, you will need to upgrade the wheels as well. For a tire and wheel combo, you can use the Provider # TA84VR as long as you have a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern.
I have attached a few short video demonstrations on these tires and wheels that you can check out, along with a couple articles on trailer tires that you might find helpful.
