Hitch Lock Does Not Open But The Key Turns

Question:

Hitch Lock 1480DAT do not open but the key turn and nothing happens .I tried everything. Any advise because I need to use my trailer hitch .

I consulted with my contact at the Master Lock company and was advised of the following steps to help resolve your issue with the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock not working # 1480DAT.

First ensure you are using the correct key. If you have used any lubricants with the lock, blow it out with canned air. Re-lube the lock with PTFE lube formula (such as Tri-flow). Work your key back into the lock to open it.
