Question:
It recently just purchased a new 5th wheel camper. I am trying to figure out which lube plate I should get. I have a Reese receiver in my truck. But I think where the king pin is on my trailer it says lippert. Just looking to see which one would be the right purchase. Thanks

Expert Reply:
A lube plate will be more specific to the fifth-wheel hitch in your truck than to the particular pin box model that is on your new trailer. You will just want to make sure the lube plate you purchase provides enough surface area to cover your Reese model hitch. The king pin that it will actually attach to on the trailer is a standardized size, and shouldn't change between pin box models.
If you have a 16,000 pound, 22,000 pound, or 30,000 pound Reese fifth-wheel hitch, the correct lube plate is the 10 Inch # RP83002. If you have an Elite Series Reese Hitch, you will instead want the 12 inch # RP83001.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out.
