Recommended Leaf Springs for a 2012 Eclipse Stellar 28DBG

Updated 05/24/2018 | Published 05/22/2018

Question:

I have 6000k tandem axles on my 2012 Stellar 28 DBG. Broke one leaf spring this weekend. At quick glance it looked like a 4 leaf spring which seemed small after looking on line all day and seeing the 5 leaf and even 6 leaf springs. I was thinking go big or go home. Get the 6 leaf 3500lb springs. Can you tell me what springs come on the Lippert 6000K axles?

In order to determine the correct replacement leaf springs for your 2012 Eclipse Stellar 28DBG you would need to measure from the center of each eyelet. Please keep in mind that as leaf springs wear out over time they will lengthen depending on the level of wear they experience. This means that the replacement leaf springs you need will likely be shorter in overall length than the ones you have now.

In regards to capacity, the leaf spring will need to have a similar capacity to the axle. The number of leaves does not always correlate to the spring's capacity. I would also not as you put " go big or go home" as this would cause the trailer suspension to be extremely stiff and bouncy.

I have attached a list of our leaf spring selection for you which you can use to choose the correct replacements once you determine length. You will want to replacement both sides in order to prevent axle tracking.
