Features to know about

Keeps Your Trailer Level: 7" Rise or 8" Drop

Getting the trailer level is key to smooth, steady towing. This reversible ball mount gives you both a 7" rise and an 8" drop, so you can line up your coupler height for different trailers without hassle. The 15-1/4" long aluminum shank slides into your 2" x 2" receiver, keeping everything aligned for balanced towing performance.

Built to Tow Heavy Loads: 8,000 lbs GTW Capacity

Whether you’re hauling equipment, campers, or boats, this mount’s rated strength keeps you covered. It’s tested to handle up to 8,000 lbs gross towing weight and 800 lbs tongue weight. The solid aluminum construction is heat treated for strength and stays dependable under heavy pull conditions trip after trip.

Lightweight and Corrosion Resistant: Forged 6061 Aluminum

No need to wrestle with extra weight when you hitch up. At only 8 lbs, this forged 6061 aluminum mount is easy to handle but still tough enough for serious towing. The aluminum body resists rust and corrosion better than standard steel mounts, keeping its clean look even after exposure to road grime and weather.

Simple and Reliable: Fixed Design That Just Works

Sometimes the best setup is the one that doesn’t need adjusting. This fixed ball mount has no moving parts to loosen or rattle over time. The ball platform gives you a solid mounting point for a hitch ball with a 1" diameter shank, and the 5/8" pin hole keeps it locked securely in place so you can tow confidently every time.

Poor packaging. The end was partially open and the Ball Mount almost came out. If any thing else was in there it did not arrive

I see that you only ordered this ball mount so nothing was lost.

by:

It's the right rise for my trailer, it's lighter and it won't rust. Already tried and works perfectly. Very impressed with the product and the company, and their shipping, it was right on time. Nice people to deal with and will again, thanks so much.

by:

these parts are easy to obtain through etrailer

towing loads with the right accessories is mandatory and etrailer always help me keep my equipment safely on the road

by:

I use this with a 1" rise ball on my 2013 F150's front hitch to get enough distance from the front bumper and correct height.

by:

The product is exactly as advertised and seems to be high quality. Service was excellent as was the follow up after delivery. The delivery was exactly as said and the whole transaction was very smooth. Totally recommend etrailer based on my recent purchase.

by:

Great heavy duty ball mount. A little overkill for my light trailer, but, stronger is always better. My low vehicle receiver needed a 7' rise and this fit the bill. A little loose in the receiver, but, I'll use an anti rattle clamp when towing.
I was impressed with my whole order with the detailed tracking showing who was handling my order. Arrived just as they indicated. Thanks

by:

Got this for Sienna minivan b/c hitch is very low (10.5" from ground) and kind of deep under the rear bumper. This ball mount is long enough to (barely) clear the bumper, which is fantastic. I didn't want to have to use an extender.

by:

Perfect ball mount for my 2019 Kia Sorento which has a low hitch, so finding a good 7" rise was essential. Nice lightweight, well made ball mount. On top of that great customer service, followed my order and made sure I received this in time for our next camping trip!

by:

The Trophy Ball Mount 7" rise, 8" drop has been awesome. I always have had stainless steel and steel ball mounts in the past. I was quite surprised at the capacities and have been extremely happy with how lightweight it is. Due to a vehicle change and different height in hitch, we had to get a larger drop in order for the trailer to be level. I was dreading working with a large steel drop hitch due to the weight, I'm so happy I found this Brophy aluminum one on ETrailer.

by:

Does the job well. And fairly light too.

by:

I seriously can't stop looking at my beautiful, shiny hitch receiver! I've wanted to upgrade for over a year and finally did. I feel like I just ordered this YESTERDAY, and it showed up today! Thank you so much for a QUALITY product! ?

by:

The ball mount I purchased is very much a quality product it’s light but yet very durable at a reasonable price from e trailor!!

by:

This is my 3rd. one of these Ball Mounts. Quality is great. They are every bit as solid feeling as the steel ones. And of coarse the large ones like this don't weigh a ton

by:

It is light and durable but the rattle drives me insane, because it is too small for the receiver. It should have come with some kind of rubber or something that stops the rattle included for this price.

by:

This is a high quality polished aluminum ball mount hitch. It goes well with all the chrome on the new truck.

I bet you whole set-up looks awesome!

If you are looking for a solution to the Genesis GV80, this is it. The GV80 receiver sits at 13” and my boat trailer coupler base at 21”. There are no products, adjustable or fixed, besides this that along with eTrailer’s 1” extended ball that will work without hitting the bumper. Great products and awesome service once again from eTrailer staff.

21" is pretty tall for a trailer coupler, I am glad we had the ball mount to get you to level towing Jeffrey! What kind of boat do you have sitting on that trailer, and what body of water do you get out on mostly? We have a little Ranger bass boat, I spend most of my weekends out at the Lake of the Ozarks or Mark Twain Lake here in Missouri, I am still chasing that double digit bass.

See what our Experts say about this Brophy Trailer Hitch Ball Mount

  • Gooseneck Trailer Compatibility with 1995 Ford F-150
The Brophy Ball Mount - 7" Rise, 8" Drop - 15-1/4" Long - Aluminum - 8,000 lbs # EA80 is only rated for a tongue weight of 800 lbs which most trailer hitch receivers won't be able to handle but most gooseneck trailers will exceed. Gooseneck trailers typically use the 2-5/16 inch hitch ball like # SC30-C that is also the size used with larger bumper pull trailers, however it is not recommended to tow a gooseneck trailer behind your bumper as they are designed to be towed over the rear axle...

  • Ball Mount Recommendation for a 2014 Toyota Sienna to Tow a Boat Trailer Level
Since the coupler height on the trailer is 18 inches and the receiver height on the 2014 Toyota Sienna is 11-1/4 inches a ball mount with a 4 inch rise will not be high enough to tow the trailer level. You would need a ball mount with a 6-3/4 inch rise (or something very close) to tow the trailer level. Let's first make sure we measure things the same way. We measure the receiver height the same as you have done; to the top of the receiver opening. On the trailer side, with the trailer...

  • Hitch & Ball Mount for 2002 Jeep Wrangler to Clear Spare Tire
You can avoid clearance issues between your 2002 Jeep Wrangler's rear-mounted spare tire and your towing ball mount by using a ball mount long enough that will extend past the rear edge of the tire. The 2-inch hitch I suggest for your 2002 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is Curt # 13408. This is a no-drill bolt-on installation. When we installed a Class III hitch on your vehicle we found that the distance from the hitch pin hole to the rear of the spare tire was 6-1/4-inches. Once it is installed...

  • Recommended Ball Mount With 7 Inches of Rise for a 2012 Hyundai Sante Fe
The Draw-Tite Ball Mount # 2793 does have the needed 7 inches of rise, but from the center of the pin hole to the closest edge of the upright gusset is only 3 3/4 inches, so I don't think it will work with your vehicle, unfortunately. That being said, we do have a couple other options available for you. The Brophy # EA80 has the needed 7 inches of rise, but at the closest point it is 4 1/8 inches to the center of the pin hole. This does rise pretty quickly and may still work for you, but...

  • What Small Trailer do You Recommend for My 2015 Dodge Dart?
According to the stats I found on your 2015 Dodge Dart, it is only rated to tow up to 1,000 pounds. We do have a utility trailer that weighs only 305 pounds. That is the Detail K2 Mighty Multi Utility Trailer - 6' Long # K2MMT4X6. We also have the heavier/larger Detail K2 Mighty Multi A-Frame Utility Trailer - 7-1/2' Long # K2MMT5X7 (451 pounds). However, given these two trailers, I recommend the # K2MMT4X6 because the tailgate can be used as a ramp and it weighs less. If you need wiring,...

  • 8 Inch Drop Ball Mount with Longer Shank for Attachment of Towing Bike Rack
For a longer 2 inch ball mount that has 8 inches of drop the Brophy part # EA80 would most likely be your best option. This ball mount has 4-1/8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the beginning of the bend in the ball mount. Or for a steel ball mount with 4 inches you would want the # AMSC8.

  • Ball Mount Extension or Extended Ball Mount For Curt Clamp-On Bike Rack
If you put on a Hitch Extender # HE06 you will reduce your trailering capacity to 350lbs tongue weight and 3,500 total trailer weight. Most of the receiver extensions with that much rise include a gusset for strength that may prevent the Curt Clamp-On 3 Bike Rack # C18013 from fitting properly. One that you can consider is the Brophy Ball Mount # EA80. It has no gusset but the design may not allow it to work. I have included a picture with the mount measurements for you to compare with...

  • 2 Inch Ball for Brophy Ball Mount with 1-1/4 Inch Thick Ball Platform
You are correct about ball mount # EA80. The ball platform is indeed 1 inch thick. The 2 inch ball # 63852 does not have a long enough shank to be used with this ball mount. You will need a 2 inch ball with a long shank such as # 63849. It isn't stainless steel like the other ball and there isn't a stainless steel option with a long enough shank that would work.
