Question:
I own an F350 SRW and the description says it is a custom fir for my year, make, and model, however it also says the following: Tech Tip: Hitch is not designed for use on F-350 models after 2000. May need to remove the fuel tank shield and loosen tank holding straps to allow it to be moved for hitch installation and proper tightening of bolts. I am confused, does that mean it is not designed for my truck?

The TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver part # TLF1003-30 is designed to fit a cab and chassis version of the 2006 Ford F-350. If you have the factory bed on your 2006 Ford F-350 then you will want to use the TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver part # TLF1002-30 instead.
In regards to the tech tip on the cab and chassis, the hitch will line up with the frame rails assuming they measures 34" from the outside edge of each rail. However, you "may" need to remove the fuel tank shield and loosen tank holding straps to gain access to the bolt holes but it will still work for you.
