For your 2007 E-450, the best hitch receiver option for your application is the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver - 18"-51" Wide - 2" Drop # C13701. This hitch will bolt or weld to your frame and has a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs without or 6,000 lbs with weight distribution.
If you don't use weight distribution, you can use the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - 7,500 lbs # 989900 which will give you a ball mount compatible with your dune buggy trailer. I've attached a video review of this product to assist and you can use the attached article for proper towing height.
For your trailer wiring, I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. This kit comes with everything needed to protect your vehicle wiring and provide the 4-way trailer connection you need for a trailer.
If you need a weight distribution system, let me know what trailer and the weight of the dune buggy you will be towing and I'd be happy to make a recommendation.
