Question:
I have an EZ loader boat trailer from the late 80s with 2 x 6000# alxes and surge brakes. The inner bearing is a 25580 which seems to match up with a 10-10 seal which has an OD of 3.37 while my drum and the 25520 race have an od of 3.26. I guess some drums may be cut to accept a seal that is larger than the race but mine is the same all the way. What seal number has the same OD as the race? That is the one I need.

The Trailer Hub Bearing, part # 25580, uses a Trailer Race, part # 25520, which has a outside diameter of 3.265 inches. The Grease Seal, part # 21325 is the only grease seal I have that will have an outside diameter of 3.269 inches and an inside diameter of 2.125 inches.
The # 25580 inner bearing can be used with either a # 10-10 seal which is a double lip seal, or a # GS-2125DL seal which is a single lip seal. Both of these seals have an outside diameter of 3.376 inches and an inside diameter of 2.125 inches.
The other seal size that is listed to work with a # 25580 inner bearing is the # 10-36 seal (double lip seal pair) and the # GS-2250DL seal (single). These two seal have an outside diameter of 3.376 inches and an inside diameter of 2.250 inches.
The double lip seals are used for trailers with EZ-Lube spindles, bearing protectors, or oil bath bearings.
If the above seals do not work for you let me know the inner and outer bearing numbers. With those part numbers I can cross reference the hub and spindle dimensions for your trailer and can make a recommendation for the correct seal you need to use.
