Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2001 Toyota Tundra with Towable Bumper

Question:
I have an 01 toyota tundra with the factory towable bumper. I am interested in the Draw-Tite trailer hitch for my truck. I want to buy the Class IV #37130 but it says it is not compatible with the towable bumper. I am curious if that is true, as based on the install instructions, the only difference between the class IV and the class III # 37133 is that the class IV has 1/2inch bolts into the frame, while the Class III has 3/8inch bolts. Also to note, I remember in one of the install videos for I believe the curt, it claims not compatible with the towable bumper, but the install is on a towable bumper. I have zero interest in using the factory towing location, so if that is the only reason it is not compatible, then I have zero issue with that.

I do have an option for you but the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 37130 will not work for you. The factory towable bumper has different brackets than the non-towable bumper which interferes with the installation of this hitch. Instead, I recommend using the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75105 as long as you do not have a factory trailer hitch. If you have both a towable bumper and the factory hitch then we do not have any options for you at this time.
