Rebuild Kit for a Kodiak 250 Trailer Brake Caliper
Updated 02/26/2018 | Published 02/25/2018 >
Question:
I have a triple axle trailer with Kodiak 250 calipers. They have been inoperable for three or four years. Is there anything that would prevent them from being usable if I rebuild them? Secondly how do you get the piston out to replace it? Thank you.

As long as you rebuild the calipers properly and bleed the brakes you'd be good. For a rebuild kit for the Kodiak 250 calipers we have the part # KDBC250KIT.
Using compressed air is still the way to go. I have come across many instances of people using this method to push out the piston. And the best part is, it works. If you do not have an air compressor I am sure a local shop would go ahead and do it for you since it takes only a few seconds.
