Can the License Plate Bracket # CR79050 be Used to Adapter Smaller Wyoming Plate to Standard Holder

Question:

Hi, I just bought a trailer that came with a standard size license plate holder. However the plates for Wyoming trailers are smaller - 7 1/4 x 4 1/8, with holes 5 3/4 apart see photo - so I need an adapter that can screw into the standard license plate holder and allow me to attach the smaller plate. From what I can see, this item CR79050 seems to fit the bill. All I would need is a couple small bolts and nuts to attach my plate to the CR79050 holder, and then screw the CR79050 holder using the supplied screws into the standard license plate holder which is permanently affixed to the trailer, see photo. Please confirm that in your opinion this will work? If not, is there an alternative you can suggest? Thank you!

The License Plate Bracket # CR79050 that you referenced does sound like it will work for your application. This bracket was designed specifically for when a license plate doesn't fit the plate holder like what you are experiencing.

I have attached a picture with dimensions on it that you can reference for the installation.
