Installing 7-Way on 2017 Chevy Express Van
Published 01/10/2018 >
Question:
I need to install a 7 blade system on a 2017 Chevy Express. This unit came without tow package. I prefer to use Ts instead of hard wiring. Do you offer such a product for this van?

To install a 7-blade in your 2017 Chevy Express van, presumably for a brake controller, you are going to need to do some hard wiring. For a brake controller the first thing you'll need is to add 4-way # 118392 and I've added a link to a video showing how this is installed in a '17 Express. Then to add a 7-way you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7; I have also added a link to a video showing a brake controller being installed in a similar Express van to demonstrate how it is done.
For a brake controller I strongly recommend the Prodigy P3 # 90195; it is the most popular model we carry due to its effectiveness and ease of use. It will activate your trailer's brakes immediately in proportion to your van's brakes and offers three different boost levels so you can adjust your braking power.
The P3 levels automatically, has constant diagnostic checks, contains safeguards which defend your controller against shorts, and features an LCD display which is much easier to read than that of other controllers. This controller has been met with nearly universal praise; it has been reviewed by our customers more than 2,000 times and is averaging close to 5 out of 5 stars. I've added a link to a video reviews of the P3 for you to take a look at as well.
