Question:

Have a ram 3500 with 8ft bed. Will be towing different travel trailers, would like to know how to set my hitch up, above axle? Behind axle? High or medium?Setting up my b&w companion 3600

For your Ram 3500 and B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3600 you have a few options. My recommendation because you will be towing multiple trailers is to install it slightly to the cab side of the axle and on the 18 inch height setting. This will give you the best option for the majority of trailers to be compatible.

I also recommend adding a 7-way wiring connection to the bed of your truck using the Pollak 5th Wheel / Gooseneck T-Connector with 7-Pole # PK11893-11932 for easy connection.
