Where Should B&W Companion Hitch be Centered on 2014 Ram 3500 with OEM Prep Package

Question:
With a prep kit equipped truck, should the hitch be mounted square above the axle, behind or in front? Thank you!

For any hitch application you will want the centerline of the hitch to be centered over the rear axle or up to a few inches forward of the rear axle. The same goes for the B&W Companion hitch # BWRVK3600 for your 2014 Ram 3500 with OEM prep package.
On any 5th wheel/gooseneck hitch and vehicle the center of the hitch should not be behind the rear axle. There is limited capacity behind the rear axle and it can cause the front of the truck to ride high when a trailer is connected. That would cause steering, braking and visibility problems.
