Hi - looking to tow a boat trailer needing 5 wires brakes. Need a wiring kit for my new 2018 highlander limited. Already have the tow hitch installed. Recommendations? Thank you

It sounds like you are needing to install a 5-Way connector on your 2018 Toyota Highlander, which will allow you to tie the reverse light to the 5th wire to activate the electric lockout on your boat trailer's actuator.
The easiest way to do this will be to first install a 4-Way connector on the vehicle. If your Highlander does not have the factory tow package (that would have a converter under the dash), I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118449. If you do have the factory tow package, I instead recommend the Curt T-Connector # 56042. Either harness will install by connecting directly to the built-in ports located behind the driver's-side interior trim panel in your rear cargo area.
You can then just add the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Wiring Adapter # 20036. This will plug right into the 4-Way and convert it to a 5-Way flat to connect with your trailer. The blue wire from the adapter will then be run to the reverse light circuit on your Toyota Highlander. I have attached an installation video that you can also check out.
