Do these vents have a closure or are they always open to the outside? I am worried about birds entering and nesting in the RV when we store it in our barn.

The Ventline Exterior Wall Vent for RV Range Hood, part # V2111-13 in white and part # V2111-55 in black, do have pivoting latches that lets you lock the damper closed when not in use. This is a great feature for storage periods and prevents critters from entering the RV.
Installation requires either re-using your RV's existing vent hardware or supplying new screws such as # 31071. You will also need a sealant to complete the install. We offer pure silicone sealant that remains flexible at all temperatures. Part # LT37464 is grey, part # LT37467 is black, part # LT37466 is copper-colored and part # 0160297 is white.
