Question:

Your ram adapter is square ring not round does that effect the performance? An from that square plate to the bottom of the king pin length an size standard. THANKS

The Ram Gooseneck to 5th Wheel Trailer Coupler Adapter Inner Tube - Square - 30,000 lbs # KPG5-Q30IP is a 4 inch square tube with a 7/8 inch pin hole diameter. The holes are 2-11/16 inches on center and have a total adjustment height of 8 inches. The king pin is the standard size of 2 inches diameter and also the standard length of just over 3.305 inches. This will fit the inside the outer square tube of most gooseneck trailers.

The round adapters are available as well like # KPG5-R25-IP. They are standard king pin size as well and are designed to work with the outer round tube gooseneck trailers. This inner tube is 4 inches diameter with the same hole dimensions and adjustment as listed above. The capacity is only 25,000 lbs compared to the 30,000 lbs of the square adapter.
