Why does the description say not to haul a trailer with this?

The Roadmaster High-Low Adapter part # RM-058-4 is designed for flat towing applications and is not rated for the tongue weight associated with straight pull towing. If you need a ball mount with a 4" drop then I recommending using the Curt Forged Ball Mount part # C45458. As long as you have a 2-1/2" trailer hitch receiver on your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 then this ball mount will work well for you. If you have a standard 2" trailer hitch receiver then you will want to use the Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount part # C45341.
