I spoke with my contact at Blue Ox regarding the High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars # BX88132 referenced in your question. He stated that this high-low adapter has a tongue weight capacity of 500 pounds and a towing weight maximum of 5,000 pounds.
This adapter will provide you with either a 10 inch rise or a 10 inch drop and can be used when flat towing a vehicle in order to make the tow bar level. Please note that this adapter should not be used to tow a trailer.
