I was able to confirm with the manufacturer that the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13200 is a fit for your 2018 Toyota Highlander XLE.

For your trailer wiring, if you don't have the OEM 4-way, you need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56217. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness. The connection point for the 4-way tow harness is located behind the interior trim panel in your rear cargo area. Once you've plugged in the converter, insert the included 10-amp fuse into the integrated fuse holder.

For a ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black # BWTS10037B. This will give you an adjustable mount to tow multiple trailers level. It also has two integrated hitch balls to fit a 2 inch coupler or a 2-5/16 inch coupler. This ball mount has a really nice and clean looking stow away option that will protect your shins when not in use. I recommend using a hitch lock like # e98882 to protect your investment.
