Parts Needed to Install Always-On 12V Power Outlet in 2017 Honda Ridgeline

Question:

Looking to buy your 7 way trailer adapter with added cigarette socket to Power my 12V ARB frig in the back of my truck. My question is when the vehicle is turned off does the power stay on to the outlet ie my frig will stay on while we camp? Thanks

The 12V auxiliary power feed included in a 7-way trailer socket will remain active on some vehicles even if the engine/key is off; on other vehicles it will be key-controlled. It depends on the type of installation.

If you want to have a 12V circuit that stays on at all times to keep your fridge powered up you can certainly install a power receptacle and wire it directly to your battery (without using the 7-way). You'd just need a 40-amp breaker # PK54540 and wire # 10-2-1, along with two ring terminals # DW05705-1 and butt connectors # 05732-2.
