Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our Andersen Rapid Hitch. That's right, it's a two ball ball mount made for two and a half inch hitches with an eight inch rise or drop capability. Now folks, whether you're out there hauling different trailers, matching those heights up sometimes can be a hassle, but with this Andersen hitch, you don't have to worry about that. You can simply adjust the ball height to match your trailer height.
Now that's gonna give you that again, eight inch of rise or drop. That should be more than enough depending on your vehicle height to match up anything. Now, if you have a raised vehicle, you may have to get something a little bit taller or deeper than this. Now you simply would just pull a pin here on the side here to remove that pin, and then you'll be able to then adjust the height accordingly. So I can take this pin out, I can raise this or lower it.
I can even take this all the way off and then I can swap it over to my two and five 16th inch hitch, and I just simply put the pin back in place. Put my pin and clip back here, in place. And I'm ready to go now with my two and five 16 inch ball, speaking of that ball, that one is rated at 12,500 pounds capacity while the two inch one on the bottom right now is rated at 10,000 pounds capacity. The maximum tongue weight for both of 'em is 1500 pounds. Once again, it's a two and a half inch shank here.
Some measurements from the center of this hitch pin hole in the back to the center of the ball is right at nine and a quarter inches. Now this hitch pin hole is your standard five eighth inch hole. It does not come with a hitch pin and clip included. You get this pin and clip here for the ball mount, but you would, you would need a hitch pin and clip sold separately. If you don't already have one, I recommend picking up a lockable one.
