The Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist # 74211 will fit Chevy and GMC C/K series pickups from 1988 through 2000 model years so long as the truck does not have a step-side bed.

The linked video illustrates the product's features and installation. Two 3/8-inch holes will be drilled, one on the tailgate sill and one on the tailgate itself. The included instructions/template are shown in the video.
