Installation of Prodigy Brake Controller on 2016 Subaru Outback 3.6
Updated 10/18/2017 | Published 10/17/2017 >
Question:
I am installing a trailer brake controller Prodigy on my 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon 3.6. I have reviewed you videos on how to install and have managed to install the new plug and run the wire to the engine compartment. However, the firewall on this model is very different than the one in the video. Any suggestions as how to get the necessary wires through the fire wall into the cab? Also, any suggestion were to mount the two breakers? Thanks!

When installing a brake controller such as the Prodigy P3 # 90195 in a 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon 3.6, you will like need to drill a hole to get the wires through the fire wall; just be sure to use a grommet as well. As for mounting the breakers, the best suggestion is wherever you have the room but it can often be done near the battery if the battery is removed so you have some room to place them.
