14 Ply Trailer Tire Recommendation to fit 16 inch Rim that is 6 inches Wide

Question:
Can you put a 14ply tire on a 6 lug 16 trailer rim? This is for a horse trailer.

For a 16 inch diameter trailer tire we have the part # TTWPRG235R16 that has a 14 ply rating and a weight capacity of 4,400-lb max load at 110 psi. This will fit a 6 inch wide rim too.
