When you’re moving serious weight, a strong rim matters. The Lionshead Steel Dual Wheel #LHHA420 is rated for a 3,500-lb capacity per wheel and meets DOT and SAE J1204 specifications. The 16" x 6" hub-piloted design with 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern and 5/8"-18 flange nut size gives solid support for dual setups, whether used as the inner or outer wheel. That load rating lets you run confidently knowing each wheel can handle its share on long hauls or heavy trailers.
A dual setup demands perfect spacing and strength, and this wheel’s built-in ±5.5" offset makes it easy to position exactly right. Use it closer to the trailer frame as an inner wheel, or mount it outboard for the outer position—the offset keeps everything lined up and balanced. The hub-piloted design centers on the hub itself, requiring flange nuts (sold separately), so you get accurate alignment every time.
Road grime, water, and salt spray can eat through unprotected metal fast. This wheel’s e-coat primer and silver powder coat on both sides form a durable barrier against corrosion. That means less rust, longer life, and a cleaner look season after season—ideal for trailers that see miles of weather exposure or coastal conditions.
When you’re running high-load tires that call for serious air pressure, this wheel keeps up. The included valve stem is rated to 100 psi, but it can be upgraded to handle up to 110 psi cold with valve stem part #AM20906. That flexibility makes it a solid match for popular heavy-duty trailer tires like the Provider ST235/85R16 Load Range G rated at 3,860 lbs when used in dual setups.
Getting the right pilot fit ensures smooth performance every mile. The Lionshead Steel Dual Wheel features a 4.75" pilot hole—also compatible with hubs measuring 4.77"—for true hub-centric mounting. This exact fitment helps maintain stability and balance while keeping vibration minimal in both inner and outer positions of a dually configuration.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

I will definitely have our Customer Service team reach out to you. The pilot hole diameter for this rim is 4.77 inches. There can be minor variations with the pilot hole dimensions just due to the manufacturing process. Keep in mind that this wheel is hub piloted, which means that it centers on the hub, not the lugs.
