Question:
Which mounts should I get for my truck. I plan on my camper and gear weighing no more than 2200 lbs. I have a flat plastic trim ring with cutout inditations for the stake pocket.

The Brophy Camper Tie Downs, part # TDSF can be used on campers that have a total length of up to 8 feet in length. The Brophy Camper Tie Downs, part # HSSF can be used on any size campers. There is no weight capacity rating on the camper tie downs and they will work for any camper size that is properly sized for your 2010 Ford F-150.
The Brophy # TDSF mounts into the truck bed stake pocket, where as the Brophy # HSSF tie downs wrap around the bed, not in the stake pockets, and are mounted inside the bed.
Also, Brophy # HSSF will work in trucks with spray-in bed liners. If your truck has a drop-in bed liner, it will need to be trimmed or removed to use part # HSSF.
If your camper has a total length of more than 8 feet, you will need to use Brophy # HSSF.
For either kit you will want to use the Brophy Camper Tie Down Hardware Kit, part # TDHP. This hardware kit will be used to attach the camper to the tie downs.

Yep, you kind of confirmed what I was guessing that I might need for real safety and reliability. Thanks for the air bag suggestion, I’ll look into that also, sounds promising.

My truck is a 2010 f150 4x4 with a 5.4 v8. Load weight is 1750, and my camper is an 8 foot weighing 1600lbs. I know I’m cutting this a little close. Thinking about the Brophy tdsf because the cost is so attractive as opposed to a set of torque lift frame mounted connector points which could cost $800 installed.
