We do have replacement connectors available for your 2006 Toyota 4Runner, all of which will provide both a 7-Way and 4-Way flat connector.
If you have a 3-pin plug and a 4-pin plug at the rear of your vehicle, then you will need either the Tekonsha # 20137 or the Hopkins # HM43385, depending on how they are pinned. The issue is that Toyota wired many of their vehicle models during these years in two different ways. You will need to match the wiring with the diagram on the 3-pin connector, which I have included below for these two harnesses. I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test each pin on the factory plug. The location of the 12 volt power pin and reverse light pin will be the factor that determines which harness to use.
If the factory plugs on your 4Runner has 2 terminals on one side and 5 on the other, you will instead need wiring harness # HM11143395.
Also note that the plugs on the available harnesses for your vehicle all have male ends. If the plugs on your vehicle are not female ends, you can still use the harness, however the corresponding male end will need to be cut off and the wires will need to be spliced together.
I have included installation details for all of the products mentioned that you can also look through.
