I have a venture Starcraft 2408 1998 popup trailer. I want to change the drum. Presently a have a 4 bolts pattern without EZ lub. I dont know if its a Dexter axel. Is the drum with EZ lube cap parts # 8-173-16UC3 will fit?

Expert Reply:
When trying to find the correct drum brakes, a measurement of the inside drum diameter and the depth of the drum will be needed. See attached picture.
The drum that you referenced, # 8-173-16UC3, measures 7 inches in diameter and 1-3/4 inches deep. Also this drum will have a 4 on 4 bolt pattern.
If your drum has this measurement and your current shoes measures 1-1/4 inches wide, then this will be the correct part and work it well for your pop up camper.
I have also attached an article that will explain how to measure and find the wheel bolt pattern of your current drum and wheel.
