Given the age of your 2010 GMC Terrain you can safely assume that there will be rust and/or dirt trapped in the threads of the weld nuts on the frame.
You can use a spray lubricant product like WD40 or PB Blaster along with a stiff bristle brush to clean them. We have a helpful article linked for you to guide you through this process. It often takes more than one application of lubricant and multiple brushings to remove all the material from the threads. It is best to apply the lubricant and allow it to soak in before using the brush.
The hitch I recommend for your Terrain is the 2-inch Class III etrailer model # e98865. This offers better compatibility with hitch-mount accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers and it has a much higher weight capacity than the Class I model # 36408. An installation video showing a Terrain is linked for you along with the written instructions. No drilling is required.
If you want to try fitting one bolt you can locally source one with these specs: M12x1.75x40 hex bolt.
The hitch comes with all required hardware.
