Question:
My 2010 Ford Explorer has very limited space and the lock must have a side entry for the 5/8inch pin because there is no room to a key into the end of the most common locks. I purchased a side load lock, but there is a bolt head behind the lock space that does not allow for the diameter of the lock to fit on the pin. Can you recommend a locking hitch pin that will fit on a factory 2010 Ford Explorer 2inch hitch?

The design of Swivel Head Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 1-1/4" and 2" Trailer Hitches Item # 2866DAT does sound like the style that you would need to use with your 2010 Ford Explorer factory trailer hitch. That is unless I am thinking of the opposite problem in which case you would use a traditional flush lock such as # e98880 for 2 inch hitches or # e98879 for 1-1/4 inch hitches. I have linked videos of these locks for you.
If you do not think the swivel head or flush locks will work please email me some pictures of your hitch so I can better assess the situation and make other recommendations for you.
