etrailer Hitch Locks - Standard Hitch Pin - E98879 Review

Today we'll be taking a look at the trailer hitch receiver lock for one and a quarter inch hitches. This is going to be a flush design to fit right up against the outside of your hitch to keep your items secure and safe. We'll have our lock core on the one side. So basically the way that this is going to work is that you actually unthread that lock core, so our silver end will thread off, and then you would place that through your inch and a quarter hitch, line that bolt back up with the end of our lock, with that pin, and then tighten it back down.I'm going to get this just threaded on a little bit so I can show you the widest that this can really go. The inside measurement there is about two and three eighths of an inch, as far as the widest that you can really get out of that. The span, we tighten it up a little bit more, the span is about two inches and an eighth.

So that two and three eights is pretty wide on this, you might not get as secure a hold by having it just barely threaded on there, but I just wanted to give you an idea of the range of that bolt inside. If your hitch is a little bit thicker on the outside, that does give you some option to tighten it down and get it to sit real nice and flush on your hitch. Now you can get this keyed alike with other items so that you can have multiple hitch locks with the same keys. You just have to go to the product page here at etrailer.com and use the down menu to do that.As far as the overall length with this, it's about five and a half inches long, or really closer to about five and three eights. The silver end measures about one and seven eighths inches long, and then the black end measures about one and three eight. So that gives you an idea of how much clearance you need to have on either side of your hitch to get this attached. It is made of a durable steel construction, so it should be able to withstand any of our accessories that we put into our inch and a quarter hitch.

Its lock is patented pick proof, screw and lock secure system, and it has chrome plating to help it resist any kind of rust or corrosion. Now the pin diameter in the center here is a half inch. So again, that's going to work with your one and a quarter inch hitches, and it should keep all your items safe. And that's going to do it for our look at the trailer hitch receiver lock for one and a quarter inch hitches..
